I used to work as a computer tech on a college campus. My job consisted of sitting on my ass and doing whatever publicly appropriate activity I wanted, as long as I stopped to help a student/faculty member in need.
As such, I found a bunch of silly online time wasters. I had to keep them pretty low-tech, because the computer I was issued was horrible. Anyway, I play tons of browser-based games, with my favorite being the ones on grids where your character moves around.
I'm partial to Shartak and Jailriot, and I don't care much for Urban Dead. What are your favorites? (Please keep the list confined to relatively low-tech browser-based games.)

I played Runescape when I was uh, 12, but then I realised it sucked -.-
I also used to play Travian, and I was doing ok (Swebotraustamanoz ftw!) until this guy came over with the worlds biggest army and flattened me ¬¬
I like Desktop Tower Defence, Dice Wars and Kdice. They're all good.

Hmm - I wonder if we can get a bit of forum based rivalry going and get some java games on here?
Whoo - or some Doom clone - we could have a regular gang-up on rzm61 session :D

I play Dragon Soldier and Cyber Nations. I don't like CN that much but it only takes 5 clicks a day so it's all good. I'm doing great in DS though.

I used to play Runescape, Kingdom of Loathing, Nationstates, Cybernations, Particracy and probably some others that I have since forgotten. I currently play (although inactively) Lunar Wars and Galava. Both are heavily based on Cybernations.

I remember Kingdom of Loathing and Nationstates, lol. I majored in political science for a while (NERD!!!), so I love anything politically based. Anyone who's like that should check out Political Asylum. :)

These aren't all the grid-based ones, but they're among my favorites. For some reason, I can't find the link to Political Asylum, but I know the base site is www.alteringtime.com (http://www.alteringtime.com).
If I'd caught that post before I went on vacation, I would've been able to give you more links. :)
