Admins might want to sticky this.

member banner code for myspace.
<a href="http://www.thechurchofgoogle.org"><img src="http://www.thechurchofgoogle.org/Images/promo_material/cog_member.png" /></a>

minister code
<a href="http://www.thechurchofgoogle.org"><img scr="http://www.thechurchofgoogle.org/Images/promo_material/cog_minister.png"/></a>

There it is just copy past either one onywhere you want them on you page.

:icon_confused:

So, why did you post this? And why would admins want to sticky that? You can find those images and the code to them in the promotion section.

Edit:
Here is the link to the 'Promote Us' section:

Also, the only difference is that your tags are HTML and the ones provided are BB code, at least I believe that is what it's called.

so people could put the banners on there myspace pages. the codes they have in the promote us section doesnt work for myspace and i thought people(like me) might want it there.

It doesn't work because it's not HTML.

What we can do is try to update the promote us page, so it has HTML tags as well.

Other then that, it's not too hard to figure out how to transfer it to HTML. A quick visit to the Godess and you should have it all sorted out. :D

I hear ya, and it's nice to see that you wish to contribute and help. :D

Well anyway, I posted a thread in the Suggestion Box/Idea section about adding the HTML code to the promote us page. Hopefully something will be done.

It's a nice try for the HTML codes for myspace that benster posted, but unfortunately they do not work in actual use on MySpace. I just tried them in an edit profile box, with no luck.

What I do is put the CoG link in my blog, because it's just easier that way.

I broke down and bought the "HTML 4 Dummies" (big yellow) code book, has all kinds of goodies in it for the web. Site links and image links discussion starts in Chapter 6, "Linking to Online Resources," page 95 in the new edition.

Here is the formula for the CoG link I just posted in my blog:

<a href="http://www.churchofgoogle.org">Church of Google</a>

I suppose if you have the right kind of page you can just add it in anywhere, but for some reason it didn't work right in the Who to Meet or Heroes boxes where I tried to post it in edit profile.

Good luck!

edit: here is how to post the CoG member banner in a MySpace blog (http://www.myspace.com/thesherwoodforest):

Go to the image of the banner of your choice in the CoG faqs section. Right click on the banner and save it to your hard drive. Open a photosharing site, like Photobucket. After you create your account, then upload the banner image to the site. It will then give you the Direct Link which you will use in your img code in the blog.

When you get the banner image ready, you can post it like this:

<a href="http://www.churchofgoogle.org"><img src="YOUR DIRECT LINK TO AN IMAGE GOES HERE"></a>

Here is my exact code, which you can use until you get the banner image loaded to a photohosting site of your own:

<a href="http://www.churchofgoogle.org"><img src="http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm160/ispeak4thetrees/cog_member.png"</a>

edit: I just updated this.

Oh? What kind of site do you have? Mine is one of those flash sites, so maybe it doesn't post on those, or I might've input the codes incorrectly.

I see. Would you care to share what it looks like with us, or, is it too personal? I don't know why, but it seems you have to add the myspace's to view them now or something.

Hey, thanks a heap. A true D & D fan, huh? WoW, are you up near Redding, CA still? Cool beans. I almost went to UC Davis or SFAI, for grad art school but I got in down here instead.

I played D & D in gifted school, 6th grade. I remember always being picked for the cleric for some reason. We also played the stock market, and I was the broker or some shit. I guess that explains a lot, huh?

I found some html cheat sheets on webmonkey. (http://www.webmonkey.com/reference/HTML_Cheatsheet)

Well, goll-y!

We might as well have a regular damn geek reunion.
Or is it "nerd" for us dnders?

edit: oh yeah, I realized for the flash myspace pages you have to input the codes in a certain spot, that I did not know or understand yet, but I do know now.

gotta go with you on that one
2.0 after that it went downhill fast

i have all the original boxed sets and maps
and every cover hardback released up until 3.5
whatever that crap was

after 2.0 they violated the first rule of life
"never make a simple thing complicated"
