Molson Canadian for Canada would make more sense and what is La Maudite?

Glad to see ya Bouchie. How goes the spiritual journey? :icon_cool:

The Quebcois annoy me. They're Americans, but they're too French to admit it.

Hey, now, don't blame them on us,
they don't like us and/or speak our
language.

on the plus side, unlike other
french speakers, we've never
had to liberate them.

hehehe
we don't restrict our dicks
to just one group/organization or stereotype
thats the beauty of democracy, anyone can be
a dick.
we didn't revolt, that was a contested divorce
from someone who didnt have our best interests
at heart.
if the frenchies had taken over canada, they would have
surrendered to Alaska immediately.

Molson Canadian for Canada would make more sense and what is La Maudite? Quebec beer - strong flavour. Surprised you don't know it Sister.

Glad to see ya Bouchie. How goes the spiritual journey? :icon_cool:[/quote] Good to be back. And the spiritual journey ran into a materialistic road-block, otherwise known as money - the supply of which will soon be cut off as I've been given notice that I'm laid off.

Not surprising - I work in a brokerage firm.

if the frenchies had taken over canada,

They did, until we took it. Ofc, all the French didn't immediately turn English, until American Loyalists moved North into Canada. However, as no-one wants to live next to the French, they moved out of Quebec pretty quickly.

Quebec beer - strong flavour. Surprised you don't know it Sister.

I'm ashamed to say that I never did acquire a taste for beer. Caribou was my poison of choice when I was a wild quebecoise. Beer, especially Cdn, is much too bitter for my liking. I find American beer even less palatable. Sorta like tepid dirty dishwater. Been trying others like Alexander Keith's which I find has less of a bite but isn't entirely tasteless and a locally produced beer with a sweeter quality called Beau's (their plant is right next door to where I work :icon_lol: but we only get 1/2 hour lunch :icon_evil:)

I've been given notice that I'm laid off.

Ouch! The story of my entire adult working life. :(

Not surprising - I work in a brokerage firm.

Double ouch! A result of the current global economic situation I assume?

I like how governments are urging people to bolster the economy by spending, yet, where are they going to get that money to spend when people are losing their jobs by the thousands (would hundreds of thousands be an exaggeration)?

I would like to see politicians take a roll back on their salaries and share the pain for a change. As it stands, I think the first thing they'll do (as they've done consistently in the past) is vote themselves a great big fat pay increase! :icon_evil:

if the frenchies had taken over canada

They may not have succeeded then, but they keep trying. Difference being they are ' (http://communities.canada.com/MONTREALGAZETTE/forums/t/5337.aspx)working within the system (http://www.rocler.qc.ca/turp/eng/Road/Road.htm)' (http://communities.canada.com/MONTREALGAZETTE/forums/t/5337.aspx):icon_eek: Now (http://communities.canada.com/MONTREALGAZETTE/forums/t/5337.aspx).

However, as no-one wants to live next to the French,

Tell me about it! :icon_evil:

they moved out of Quebec pretty quickly.History (http://www.irpp.org/po/archive/oct00/stevenso.pdf) really does repeat itself. :icon_rolleyes:

The grim joke “101 or 401” (referring to anglophones’
Hobson’s choice between accepting Bill
101’s language provisions or heading down Route
401 to Toronto) has turned out to have had considerable
predictive power.
