What does everyone think??

I personally like Macs better.

I like the ease of use, and the well polished operating system. :D

PC,
Mac's are nice machines, but not cost effective, you can't upgrade without spending a wad of cash, When you do get a new one, its a new OS requiring all new software (shades of microsux), and your restricted (pretty much w/ a few exceptions) in your OS. I can slap a new hardrive, cdrom, ram, soundcard, video card whatever in my box in under 15 minutes for a fraction of what it would take to do the same on a Mac.
Nice Machines if you want to just replace the whole thing anytime you want an upgrade.

jmho

Yeah I know, but I don't do much with my computers.
You're right about the restrictions though,
All the cool stuff is Windows only :(

OOPS, disagree again,
I hate microsux
Linux is way better
and has plenty of apps
no viruses
no BSD
its all free including apps

Yeah, I tried Linux,
It's pretty good I guess,
But it still has a way to go.

which one did you try?

I'm not real familiar with Mac versions

I'm currently using Ubuntu 9.04 64
but I have and play with quite a few others
Doc plays with it too, I'm pretty sure he's
done some Mac installs

hehehehe
good choice,
nice little lappies
Good OS, should be
current for at least a year

Linux can be configured to
look and behave just like
what your using on a pc,
you can even get equivalent
software in Most cases....

go to goodwill and grab the best
$50 pc theyve got and slap linux
on it just to play with, its fun and
will do a helluva lot more than u think

I play with it all the time,
the fun part is using Live CD's
you don't have to install anything
just pop in the cd and go,
doesn't mess with anything
on the HD so you can experiment
at will, but, because its me I also
keep a complete mirrored HD
and a mirror of my HD online
I do say "oops" alot :icon_mrgreen:
