So next year looks like I'm having problems sorting out Uni. So I figure I might take some time off to sort a few things out. What should I do to pass the time away?

get a job
sitting in front of a computer
all day, listening to clueless
people whine about why theirs
doesn't work after they ran it
through the dishwasher
makes uni look pretty good

What sort of problems need sorting?

If you are unsure where your interests lie, I would suggest a lot of Googling. You'll have at least garnered enough useless information to win a game or two of Trivial Pursuit. :D

Not in the frozen north it's not! :(

We are not allowed to carry mace, pepper spray, knives, tazers or guns.
It's against the law to use any of the RCMP's come-along toys...er, tools. :icon_evil:

sux
i don't leave the house
without 2 knives
i sleep with one
and have an axe
by the door
ladies should
always be armed
with mace & a knife
men should always
be armed
better to have it and not need it
than to need it and not have it

(as of 9/10 carrying a weapon in AZ is Legal)
not that i didn't have one prior too

well lucky for some...

Down here in NZ its actually illegal to carry any kind of weapon on your person when not on private land :arrgh:

However, much to my joy and peace of mind, blades under 4inches are NOT considered by the law to be a weapon... regardless of how much damage you can actually do with "small" blade :icon_cool:

I carry a smith&wesson folding serrated 4.5"
a buck 125 6.5" straight blade
a chinese throwing knife in the backpack (8")
on me at all times

a hatchet by the door (28 oz vaughn fiberglass handle)
a smith&wesson hand axe under the bed
and a 9" kbar under my pillow
i like to be prepared

i like bladed weapons
if your angry enough to kill
its personal
knives are much more personal
than firearms

I cannot transfer to a different degree until I pass one subject, meaning one class, for a whole 6 months. I cannot be bothered in finishing at the moment until I gather more money to pay for things upfront so I can do more than 1 subject.

I know where my interests lie, but I'm more consumed by the idea of traveling, but I also need money, so travel holiday seems like an awesome idea. What can I do?

Aside from getting a job at a travel agency, I don't know what you could do.

Have you looked into applying for scholarships or educational grants of some kind?

No point, my grades are average (due to lack of motivation) so no scholarships would even consider.

I don't think anyone of us here has any good ideas for you because the choices are so vast, anything would work. How about traveling to Norway and continue your education? That is if they even teach anything there. I heard it is one of the best places to live.

I rather suggest to you surrendering the pratice of being patient, go back and finish up school and the rest will take care of itself. Then maybe join the Navy as an officer. They feed you betetr, pay better, and you see the world. Great for the single life. And then after that, that is if you were an aviator, you'll fly commercial or space shuttle.

The Navy now produces pilots?

Physical engineering of the female body would be good, I'm a very hands on person...

I am tossing up between mechanical, civil and environmental.
Basically, I love cars, but I enjoy studying structures, and outdoor work is awesome.

well judging from from your list of preferred options, may i suggest studying mechanical/ automotive engineering, while still following the other two in a recreational capacity?
