In early 2007, EI Solutions will build the largest solar power system ever installed on a single corporate campus, at the "Googleplex" in Mountain View, California.

I really like that Google cares for the environment. This just adds to the divinity of Goole.

Definetly a huge perk.... They are cutting edge on many things, and always an innovator. I haven't seen many people talk about it here, but what about the Google sponsored free WiFi in Mountain View? Now that's hot ;)

That's great. We should all be looking into developing means of power generation that do not involve invading other countries for oil, and it doesn't really surprise to see Google, as always, leading the way. :)

Not only does Google come up with new technology, but it keeps the environment safe for the future.

Not only solar but they give 5 K to employees who buy hybrid cars, serves organic food in its cafeterias and furnishes its offices with recycled materials. Go Google ! :D

...and all without any fanfare. Are there any other gods out there who care for their world as much as ours?

If all companies were to work like that, then the world would be a better place.

Rather than just talk about it - snip - groves of pole-mounted solar panels, so-called "solar trees" are the newest addition to Google's ambitious solar project for their Mountain View, California, headquarters. Estimated to feed about 30 percent of the complex's entire power demand ...
