Have any of you seen this movie? I was blown away, really. One of the best fantasy movies I've ever seen.
What did you think about it?

I hope it's playing in Stockholm. My only problem is that, while the film is in Spanish (I think), it'll probably be subtitled in Swedish, not English. Being that I don't speak Swedish outside of "How old are you?" and "I'd like a beer, please," this presents something of a problem.

Yeah, I had to pirate my copy...I don't think it is playing anywhere in the South, haha.

You`re lucky, that electronic confession is not a valid evidence. ^_^

heh. Hopefully one day the government will learn to accept my addiction to filesharing...until that day, I live life rebelliously, but with plenty of good entertainment.

Oh, for sure. But then I have to wait for the DVD...
But in the meantime, piracy provides a viable solution!

even if you do pirate it, i suggest you wait for the DVD to come out anyway. In my experience prior to the DVD release all the pirate versions are really bad quality, after it is out on DVD they are much better.

Heh. I`m in a pirate den, it seems... Of course, it`s kinda like kettle calling pan black.

well this one is already released on DVD in Spain, so the DVD copies are already floating around on the internets.
I got mine from removed and it's a perfect rip.

I don't see the problem with it. I still buy the DVD's if I like the film. I now own several DVD's[1] I wouldn't have considered getting before I saw the film.
[1]One of them is Peter Jackson's King Kong. I was very unsure about this film and had no idea if I would like it. I downloaded a DVD rip, watched it and was so impressed I ordered the DVD the very next day.

I saw that one in theaters, the dinosaurs made that movie awesome. I love dinosaurs...so violent...yes.

Just watched Pan's Labyrinth, it took me a while to get the subtitles working as they were stored in a separate file (yes i downloaded it), but it was well worth it. I don't normally bother with foreign subtitled films, the only one I own is "Ring", but this one is going on my amazon wish list for purchase at a later date.

I found it delightfully depressing but I am a little weird like that.

It was an awesome movie. All dark and gothic. That monster with the eyes in the hand was creepy. And the kid dies in the end...just like in the old fairy tales.

I love the actor Doug Jones. He played both the Pale Man and the Faun! =D He also played Abe in Hellboy. Seems he's great at monster roles, eh?
The scene with the guy beating the man's face in with a bottle made me cringe...
