Appallingly Bishops still get an automatic vote in the House of Lords.
How sad is that:

I've never read a bigger load of rubbish in all my life.

So I'm not familiar with the UK's systems really, do they do seperation of church and state at all or...what?

That Bishop of Carlisle fellow is a moron, it goes without saying.

No we don't have a constitutional separation of church and state in the UK.

In fact the Anglican Church is sponsored by the state.

An embarassing and harmful anachronism that does us harm in many ways including having dipsits sitting our upper chamber.

One organisation that campaigns for secularisation is 'The National Secular Society'.

It has only existed for about 140 years - we'll get there in the end!!

The Church of England has provided a lot of laughs over the years. It's such a great mix of pomp and fastidiousness and yet it was essentially created just so that Henry VIII could get a divorce.

Ah, good old C of E, sitting in a position to influence decisions which affect millions on the word of a book sponsored by a murderous lech of an ancient king. Good times, good times.

Perhaps thats why it rains all the time in England.
God is punishing us for the decandence for the murdering letcherous liar Henry VIII who founded the Anglican Church.
