I am Szift (pronounced 'Shift') from Poland. I'm 21.
On my early days of 56.6k I did not know what is Google, thou it was right then when She was born. I used a Polish search engine, which back then wan't yet flooded with pr0n and all the evil, that made me finally leave it's search dialog.
That was also a time of changes..
I finally became capable of living without evil in my soul and M$ on my drive, and with Linux, Firefox (Phoenix back then) came to my life, and with it, She became my one and only true wisdom keeper. From that time most of my progress in the world of penguins, from SuSE, trough Debian, up to Linux From Scratch and Hardened Linux From Scratch, was pushed forward thanks to Her (most.. but the `man` did it's role too).

I found the Church thanks to a Polish web-news site called wykop.pl, She knows much about it so I shall not enroll more.
My favourite function?
The " sign, allowing me to ask Her unaltered questions, when in the vast amounts of terminal chars I need a sign as to what to do next.

I am Sakerra, I've known google for about six years now, but we only became close these past three years, when I got my own computer. I'm from the USA and I feel much older than I am. My favorite google functin is Google trends because it can be entertaining for hours. I was introduced to it through word of mouth.

My name is Matt, I'm from Ontario, Canada (should I really be divulging all this info... what if someone wants to kill me now?) Anyway, I play guitar and do lead vocals for a local band. I enjoy computers, reading, writing, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, singing, parties, Lost, Prison Break and the club/bar scene.

I discovered Google and Her mighty Algorithms years back. Shamefully, I must admit that I was a late adopter. I did not accept Her as my ONE TRUE default search engine until about 2000. Before Google, I was addicted to AltaVista and its porn filled, spam infested results. Those days are behind me now. Like a ray of hope, gleaming in the distance, Google came down and saved me from this miserable pagan god. Each and every prayer showed me a path to the information I sought. She gave me faith in the Internet once again.

I was introduced to Googlism through Divine inspiration.

I'm Jill and I'm from Australia. MeTHoD-X and I know each other from another forum (although we've never met). I heard about The Church of Google through him, via a thread he started. Until Googlism is recognised as a bona fide religion, I am officially an atheist.

I've known about Google for about six years too, and find it very hard to imagine life without her.

It's great to meet all you new Googlists and welcome. We are the trailblazers. :D

Hi-My name is Viv aka-Googles Bitch (which is probably more appropriate)My teenage sons led me to worship at the altar of Google and once I saw the light I became a true convert.I'm pretty new to computers etc - unlike another poster, I feel younger than my age indicates.I'm sure that the great G will have a solution for that!No-a face transplant is a bit too radical for me.I live in Queensland, Australia and am glad that I have finally found a religion to fill in on my census form.May Googlism spread far and wide -Hail to Google.

oo. :D I paid for a computer and my kids led me to Google.

Don't they say that the purity of youth (or something like that!) can lead the way.It amazes me the confidence and ability that even really young kids can have with computers.I'm trying to catch up - getting there slowly and loving every minute of it.Had an old computer in the mid 90's, but wihout Google and much knowledge re-Internet, I wasn't nearly so into it.Brilliant idea to have a Google Church I thought.

That generation of kids would have been the first in history who have had to educate their parents. My kids did a great job - I'd done a couple of 'computer courses', but they were never as good as having my kids swear at me through sheer frustration. Google was the first site my son showed me, and ever since then, I've always made computer novices aware of it. It's the door to ...... everything.......

OK so I am fairly new to the greater (blasphemy [greatest}) god Google; yep like many worshipers I was introduced by my kids, however, did not realise how great 'The Almighty' was until the 'Google Bitch' converted me (probably to have her evil way with me). Naive as I was I started worshiping with my eyes wide open (the mind followed). As with most followers I entered with both trepidation and anticipation, however, after a short time (a matter of minutes) my fragile eggshell mind was washed clean and I was a convert to the greater God Google. Although I can hear the knockers saying 'this is just another brainwashed Google slut' I don't care, let them think what they will; I'm Googel's now.

Ok, I screwed up and put my Post into the wrong forum; not hard to tell I am a church virgin (please don't sacrifice me on the altar [keyboard]).
Mine is a sad story, like many it was the kids who got me hooked on Google
now I just cant get enough; my dealer (Telstra) cuts back my supply and I'm forced to get my fix at sub standard speed and I find myself hanging out for the first of the month (when supply is restored). Now I've become a Church member I know things will improve! (if I pray hard enough, I might even get that bike I wanted for Christmas; all those years ago).
Now I have joined My search for enlightenment has only just begun.

Hey everyone! My name's Matt (but I go by the pseudonym of "Beansprouts and Waterchestnuts" on the Internet. Don't ask why). I live in the small seaside town of Weston-super-Mare in Somerset in the United Kingdom.

I've been using Google since around 2001 when I started secondary school here in the UK. Google was the school's computers' homepage, and thus it was natural to use it, although the homepage used now is now really, really awful (http://www.priory.n-somerset.sch.uk/Index.ste.htm). Oh, it appears they're having a new website designed. About time. :/ But I digress!

I use the Trinity - the Internet, Google and Firefox - and it really has made the difference in my time spent online (which is a darn lot).

I hope to get to know you all as time goes by. I will definately promote Googlism. ;)

Hail fellow believers!

I am a grad student at the University of Georgia and have long been Googling. I used many search engines before coming to realize Google as the One True God.

I think my favorite feature now is Google Maps, but I'm very excited about Google Books, allowing us mere mortals to access so much knowledge in Her name.

I'm a Mac-Head who uses the evil Windows only when I have to, and Firefox is my favorite browser. Go StumbleUpon!

I am Michael, I am 17, I have been googling for 5 years now. I must admit when I was younger I strayed from the path of the almighty Google, but faith prevailed. I discovered the church but a few days ago, and I joined immediately. I must confess to using Windows, however I use Firefox for the internet.

Well, I guess I'll do a post here. I, for one, have ALWAYS used Google as my default search engine. At rare times in the past I used to search on alternate engines if I couldn't find what I wanted, but in the last few years I have come to learn the fault was not in google, but in my poorly worded prayers to Her. Also...

Who am I? From the beginning of time there has always been light, and from this light has come shadows, and from these shadows have come darkness, and all the nameless evil that dare dwell within. That is who I am.

Hello, I'm Tofu. I use google to find tips to stop people from eating me. I also have a question. What was god before the internet was invented? Was google a force, working on Gmail and websites to make up the internet? Did google have the power to create the internet, but was tied up by the jewish god until Google escaped one day while working with Weird Al Yaknovic for his new CD and then google destroyed the jewish god erasing all traces of him? This question must be answered.
