I'm running out of advertising ideas. You know my webcomic I advertised here, Tofu Time? Well, my character Blueberry is getting herself a blog. The first entire is about the other character, Tofu [he has the same name as me like with Weebl and Bob] thinking about becoming a googlist. It has a link to this site. Blueberry doesn't like this religion one bit. If you haven't seen Tofu Time, go to www.freewebs.com/tofutime

Wafer Reduces Germ Risk in Communion

By LAWRENCE K. ALTMAN

Dipping a wafer into the communion cup does not abolish the risk of infection to the communicant, but it is safer than sipping wine from a common cup, according to a study reported at a scientific meeting here this week.

Anne LaGrange Loving, a professor of microbiology at Felician College in Lodi, N.J., undertook the study because of widespread concern about the potential hazards from sipping communal wine. The topic has been the subject of religious debate and scientific investigation for more than a century.

Most wine used for communion is fortified with a higher alcohol content than table wine to kill microbes, and ministers use other measures, too, to reduce the risk, Ms. Loving said in an interview. But studies by other researchers have shown that microbes can survive in communion cups.

What, the fact that it's wine, or the fact that it's supposed to be Jesus's BLOOD. >_>

The last supper. When Jesus did his little 'drink this wine, for this wine is blood' or whatever he said. Look it up the bible. Or use Google.

Also, the imitation of it in the Eucharist ceremony.
