my cynical old curmudgeons view on it is "no power once given to government will EVER be dissolved voluntarily" and all that starry eyed optimistic crap you bought by the truckload before the election, was just that CRAP to sell you on the idea of voting for him...
don't get me wrong i would say the same for his opponents campaign claims as well

the best politicians
win elections
they can only do that
by promising the constituents
what they want
the difference between
a good and a great politician
is how they explain that you
really did get what you wanted
and why its going to cost more
so that you will re elect them
expecting the promises to be
actually fulfilled the next time,
Gotcha

OMG OMG OMGI was going to make a thread on this earlier. What are your predictions? I think they will at the very least support the claim of the Badmns Bush Administrations politicization of the justice department.

I bought into it. After 8 years of the Bush administration, I was ready to believe our next president would bring change. That aside, his opponent choosing Campaign Barbie as a running mate made my decision in the booth exponentially easier.
Obama inherited a lot of problems, and I tried to stave off my encroaching cynicism to give the man some time before I let myself become disenchanted. But, frankly, he hasn't lived up to the expectations or promises he made. Most politicians don't, and holding these idealist beliefs is the utmost form of naivety, but I really wanted to believe it this time. There's still time, but I'm a statistics kinda guy and, so far, the data isn't encouraging...

obama lied,
intended to lie
continues to lie
his sole mission
appears to be to
enslave us through money
that we don't have
and our grandchildren
won't have
game over

Hang in there. At least the entertainment value has increased with a new Republican in Mass.

Indeed. As if Congress wasn't one giant stagnation before.
