I've been considering converting the main page (www.thechurchofgoogle.org) into a news section, where I can post about various contests and other Church related news. I'll create an "About Us" page to post whats currently on the front page in.

What do you guys think?

Sounds good to me, makes sense to do that. Nice touch with the pray command for search.

Sounds like a good way to divide the pages so information is more easily found.

I dunno, personally I found Church of Google through the firefox extension StumbleUpon.. Had the explaination of the church not been on the first page, I might have just stumbled onto the next page. :x

Plus, if there is any hope of a flamer to get a basic idea of what we are about before moving to the forum it'll need to be on the front page. I don't see them browsing around the site to find our ideology before coming to spew their stupidity.

But that's my opinion. :3

The index page should probably contain at least a basic statement of belief (ie. Google is the closest thing mankind can experience to god), perhaps a summarised paragraph, but the expanded information can be on a seperata About Us page. That way the news and updates can be on the front page too (although, after a while you'd need a seperate page for news archives too if you were going to keep them)
