A friend of mine who took a short trip to Georgia to pick up a car he'd purchased, had taken a flight, and had purchased extended health coverage at a state side health insurance agency. He had payed roughly 2000$ for a weeks coverage, (1900 and some dollars) While obtaining this car, he had been wearing cowboy boots, and had bumped into someone coming out of a gas station door, he was in the adjacent state that the plan covered him in, he fell over bracing himself with his forearm and had broke it.
He went to the hospital and they informed him that because he didn't have the pre approval of the insurance company to lay a claim to his broken arm that he would not be covered and would have to baby his arm till he was Canuck side,
THIS IS FUCKED UP.
I'm not normally one to lay predjiduc-....Who am I kidding I thrive, but this hit close to home now, thats still messed up.
