"Also, morphine's mind altering properties are not why the medical profession is trying to do away with its use. It's because morphine is extremely addictive, lethal if taken improperly, loses it's effectiveness overtime requiring higher and higher doses and it makes you violently ill after only a short period of time. "
And medical marijuana is extremely addictive, can have lethal consequences due to the incredible damage it does to your logic center and memory center (ie. jumping off a building). It loses its effectiveness over time, and damages your brain in the extreme. Sound familiar? |

The only thing you said above that I agree with is that marijuana loses it's psychotropic effects over time. But that returns after a brief period of non-use. As Mr. Sanchez said, some links (even to Wiki) or citations would be appreciated.

Not that I think anyone would ever believe that lie again but I would just like to set the record straight here. A) Marijuana has the same addictive properties of sex and chocolate. B) There is nothing lethal about Marijuana. In the history of the WORLD no one has ever died from to much marijuana. People have passed out, gained weight, and become slightly paranoid but generally, the biggest side effect is a mild euphoria that lasts from 30 min to 2 hours. C) The one thing I hear from patients over and over again, is that they do NOT build up a tolerance to marijuana while they can and do build up tolerances to other drugs prescribed by their doctors. Oh and by the way, you also stated that doctors no longer use morphine. That is also mis-information. They do still use morphine in hospitals and I even know a gentleman who has a morphine pump inside his body. IN HIS BODY!!! I understand that your "brother" may have some rare disorder and that he should stay away from marijuana. However, spreading untruths about marijuana only hurts you and will make people even question if you actually have a brother with a rare disorder. Again Sanga good luck and for your brothers sake, my offer still stands. |

I have stopped caring about this crap.. It doesn't affect me in the least bit..
That being said, why not legalize and tax the shit out of everything? Coke, Heroin, whatever else the kids are into these days.. All of it.. |

Actually Illinois has passed the Senate and is currently in the House awaiting to be called to the floor for a vote by Lou Lang or Sen Haines, or Cullerton. Lou Lang just spoke at our Friendship House(TM) meeting in Naperville on the 28th of last month and is still awaiting assuredly that he will have enough yea votes before calling it to the floor. The Illinois Dept. Of Community Health will handle the licensing, and you can find updated info at http://www.illinoismedicalmarijuana.org , we speak with Lou Lang and Culletons office or the Senate Dem at least once a week.
SOON brothers and sisters, but see the links and voice your opinion. Reverend Wayne-Illinois Medical Marijuana Founder |
