To start, eating wholesome foods and exercise 30 mins a day for 6 days a week. Find a good book on abs while Im at it. Know of one?

Abs? What are those?

I only know of one way to lose weight, and you're doing it.

Some tricks:

Don't think of it as a diet, you will get discouraged and fail. Just make gradual small changes to your eating habits and don't be in a hurry to lose the weight. It will come off slowly this way but it will stay off.

Don't weigh yourself everyday, not even every week. It's depressing and is not really indicative of how much actual fat you are losing.

Up your fibre intake.

Biggest meal of the day should be breakfast (lots of fibre & protein), scaling down 'til dinner is your smallest (mostly vegs & salads).

2 snacks a day. I try to have 2 apples a day as they are a great source of fibre, clean your teeth after eating and are an excellent natural laxative.

Don't eat after 8 pm.

Cut back on the caffeine, it's an appetite stimulant.

Cut back or cut out all white processed foods like sugar, white flour, pasta and potatoes, basically any carb that is too quickly digested.

Go low or no fat dairy products.

Use Splenda for a non-caloric sweetener. Stay away from Aspartame, it's poison!

I HATE exercising, but I found if I broke it up into 10-15 minutes at a time 3 times a day I could manage to be consistent with it.
