Default USA Presidential Election 2008

I've decided that it's time we have a serious thread about the election. Who are you voting for? Why are you voting for them? Do you have any problems with the candidates, or the system?
What happens if both candidates get 269 points?
Btw, could a mod stickify this?

Obama Because I like his views and he seems like a good canadite but rather he is ready to lead is another. McCain is most likely to die in office and i do not want barbie being prez. The system is screwed because he who ever has the gold makes the rules or controls those who do. I doubt it will be that close.

Lol. ^_^

When electing a leader of a country, you have to think "Is this person suitable to run the country, to decide what my country does and potentially my life?" I honestly don't think someone who is willing to go to war with Russia over Georgia's territorial integrity and nationalism, which are incompatible with each other anyway, should become President.

It is the american way to bomb first, take over, and then make up false evidence for our reasoning! We need a president with some brain about them!

Touché.
Btw, what happens when both candidates get 229 Electoral College points? Are we screwed?

If I could, I would vote for Obama. The McCain/Palin ticket has lied outright, and been proven to have lied on many occasions.

Examples:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxMCp1vydEI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iI9J3nxB0KM (start around 2:30)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abicOUTn6v0 (especially after 1:45)

If you only have time to watch just one video, watch the third. It's about the earmarking. Gibson brings her the proof, and she spins it.

Compare that to Obama's Columbia University interview on 9/11. He was able to quickly answer the questions, and give extra information as well. His arguments were not internally inconsistent, unlike Palin's.

My choice is Obama.

I didn't post yet.

I'm going to vote for Obama. His economic policies scare me a little, but they beat Palin's. He doesn't have a proven record, and called for a troop pull out in Iraq too early in my opinion.

I still want to vote for him because I feel that a troop pull out is a good idea now. I feel he has a more comprehensive Foreign Policy plan. I think he'll be more likely to support alternative energy. And I think he's young enough to grasp the complexities neccessary for comprehensive ethics reform.

Ya, I'm an agist.
